The Michigan Democratic nominee for Senate questions how real the marriage is between Donald and Melania Trump.
Donald Trump has made it a trademark of his to use social media as his battleground for political feuds, as he continues to target a Democrat who has not been elected to office yet.
This time Trump attacks him and his wife and focuses on their religious beliefs.
The Democrat from Michigan was quick to fire back at Trump’s own marriage.
Pancakes or corruption
On Truth Social, Donald Trump posted an image comparing his relationship with his wife, Melania, to the Michigan Democrat Abdul El-Sayed and his wife, Dr. Sarah Jukaku, captioning it “Two VERY DIFFERENT Americas.” Trump was implying that the Democrats were living the “wrong” way in America because his wife is wearing a hijab in the posted picture.
El-Sayed quickly appeared on CNN to offer up a rebuttal. He leaned into the picture and agreed with the contrasts, but argued that Trump was in a loveless marriage bound only by power and greed.
“He’s right. One in which your overlords are two people who don’t like each other but joined in the interest of making billions of dollars off of you, or two people who genuinely love each other enjoyed some pancakes together to come together to build the kind of America where they can raise a family and know that that family is going to have the good things,” El-Sayed said to Jake Tapper on CNN.

Repeated attacks from Trump
Abdul El-Sayed keeps drawing the ire of Donald Trump after El-Sayed won one of the primary victories for the Democratic nomination for Congress in Michigan.
Just this past week, Trump has called the doctor-turned-politician a “Communist” and a “Radical Left Socialist” while warning Republicans, without any merit, that if El-Sayed is elected to Congress, Trump will be the last Republican president to ever hold office.
Attacks and insults continue
The attacks from Republicans against El-Sayed with veiled Islamophobic intent kept coming.
Later during the day on CNN, Representative Nancy Mace was invited on and expeditiously warned of radicalization in America, claiming future generations would face mandatory religious attire if El-Sayed is to be elected come November.
“In the future, when our granddaughters are wearing burkas to school, we’re going to look back and say, ‘How did this happen?'” Mace said.
