Now, the most famous address in the country is getting a massive visual overhaul.
A royal residence
President Donald Trump recently revealed major construction work at the White House. He shared photos of a new landing zone sitting on the South Lawn.
According to the Irish Star, the helipad features striking black-and-white granite. It deliberately mimics the official presidential seal.
Bragging about the upgrades on Truth Social, the president noted he personally managed the project during his downtime.
“It is an Honor, ‘in my spare time,’ to bring back the Beauty and Magnificence of the White House, to levels it has never seen before, not even after its construction in 1792,” Trump wrote.
Fixing the driveway
The social media post also included heavy criticism aimed directly at his political rivals. He insisted the historic building fell into complete disrepair long before his arrival.
“Like our Nation, under the Dumocrats, was in decline, the White House was a badly maintained ‘dump.’ Now, it is a Palace!” he added.
This granite helipad is not the only fresh addition to the grounds. Trump eagerly pointed out a newly laid pathway at the main entrance.
“As part of the Project, the poorly conditioned asphalt at the Main Entrance was replaced with Highest Grade, 4 and 5 inch thick, White Granite!” he posted. “There will be no cracks, or defacement, EVER!”
Pushing back
These grand building projects extend far beyond the executive mansion. According to the Irish Star, Trump recently restored the famous Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool.
The president loudly blamed vandals when peeling paint and green algae ruined the fresh pool look in June. He claimed unknown criminals dumped chemicals into the water.
Meanwhile, this constant focus on grand monuments is fueling public anger. Calling the executive mansion a palace truly struck a nerve.
Taking to the streets
Activists accuse the president of behaving exactly like a monarch. This growing frustration sparked nationwide demonstrations.
Organisers have rallied crowds since a huge military parade celebrated the president’s birthday in June 2025.
The protest group shared a strong statement online, urging citizens to vote early in the midterm elections.
“Power does not belong to billionaires, strongmen, or politicians who believe they are above accountability. Power belongs to the people, but only if we use it,” the organisers wrote.
