China is reportedly negotiating with Russia over potential combat involvement in the Russian-occupied territories of Ukraine, according to a March 5 report from the Ukrainian National Resistance Center.

The report suggests that Beijing is interested in gaining battlefield experience in Ukraine, following the example of North Korea, which has sent military personnel to assist Russian forces.

Sources indicate that Chinese envoys have been repeatedly spotted in Russian-controlled areas of Ukraine, as military cooperation between China and Russia continues to deepen.

The reports come after Russian Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu met with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing.

During the meeting, Shoigu conveyed a message from Russian President Vladimir Putin, emphasizing Moscow’s commitment to strengthening bilateral ties.

“Russia highly values the agreements reached with China and is focused on deepening cooperation,” Shoigu stated.

Shoigu further stressed that the Russia-China relationship serves as a model for great power cooperation, built on shared interests, equality, and deep mutual trust.
