Two high-tech Russian ZALA reconnaissance drones met their end over Kharkiv in a single day, brought down by the Anti-aircraft Missile and Artillery Battalion of Ukraine’s 3rd Separate Tank Iron Brigade.
Each drone, estimated to cost up to $70,000, was intercepted before completing its mission.
The battalion shared the success via its official communication channels, noting that the shootdowns were part of a larger pattern of consistent aerial victories.
ZALA UAVs, equipped for deep surveillance missions with operational ranges up to 150 kilometers and capable of flying at altitudes of 5 kilometers, are a crucial part of Russia’s battlefield intelligence network.

Turning the Tables on Russia’s Eyes in the Sky
This latest double takedown isn’t an isolated feat.
The same battalion’s FPV drone team, Kolibri, previously eliminated two Russian Supercam drones in two days just two months earlier.
“Our guys are the real heroes of battlefield blockbusters,” the brigade stated, combining pride with a touch of pop culture. “Every downed drone means lives saved, defensive positions secured, and a clear message to the enemy: we see you, and we respond.”
The Iron Brigade has made a name for itself not only through military success but also through its morale-boosting creativity.
