BREAKING: Vladimir Putin Announces Participation in 2024 Presidential Elections

Russian President Vladimir Putin has announced his intention to run in the 2024 presidential elections.

The statement was made on Friday, December 8, following the ceremony of awarding the “Golden Star” medal to Heroes of Russia, as reported by Fontanka.

The announcement came during an informal conversation with participants of the award ceremony, including Hero of the DNR, Artem Zhoga.

The Federation Council of Russia has previously confirmed the date for the presidential elections as March 17, 2024, marking the start of the election campaign.

According to the law, independent candidates must declare their candidacy within 20 days, i.e., by December 27. If a candidate is nominated by a party, they have 25 days from the date of the decision’s publication, i.e., until January 1.
