The Christmas season is synonymous with indulgence, but the calendar is often crammed with shopping, planning, and family visits.
This quick tiramisu recipe delivers Christmas flavors without demanding hours in the kitchen.
Instead of the usual ladyfingers, the recipe calls for cinnamon cookies. They provide both structure and a spiced aroma that blends naturally with mascarpone and vanilla.
Ingredients (Serves 4)
- 250 g cinnamon cookies
- 300 g mascarpone cheese
- 200 g heavy cream
- 60 g powdered sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 120 ml milk (dairy or almond milk)
- Optional: 1–2 tbsp Amaretto liqueur for an adult twist
- For Decoration: Ground cinnamon, cocoa powder, or crushed cinnamon star crumbs
Quick Preparation Instructions
- Prep the base: Arrange a layer of cinnamon cookies in the bottom of four individual dessert glasses or a small serving dish.
- Soften the cookies: Drizzle the milk (and optional Amaretto) evenly over the cookie layer. Allow a moment for the cookies to absorb the liquid and soften slightly.
- Whip the cream: In a bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
- Create the mascarpone mix: Combine the mascarpone, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon in a separate bowl. Mix until completely smooth and creamy.
- Fold and layer: Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until just combined.
- Assemble: Spread half of the mascarpone cream mixture over the softened cinnamon cookie base. Add a second layer of cookies .
- Finish: Top with the remaining mascarpone cream and gently smooth the surface.
- Serve: This dessert can be served right away for a softer texture or chilled for about 10 minutes to firm up slightly. Decorate before serving with a dusting of cinnamon, cocoa, or a sprinkle of cookie crumbs.
