The visit itself will last four days and begins on Monday. It marks 250 years since the United States gained independence from Britain. During the trip, King Charles will travel to Virginia, New York, and Washington, DC. In Washington, he is expected to meet Trump in private. He will also give a speech to the US Congress.
Some disagreements with the UK
The meeting comes at a difficult time for relations between the two countries. Ties have been under pressure for a while. Some observers say this is the lowest point since the Suez Crisis.
