A viral TikTok shows just how easy it is to charge GM’s massive electric Escalade at a Tesla Supercharger, but the bill surprised viewers.
How It Works

TikTok user @techiedani demonstrated plugging the Escalade IQ into a Supercharger using an included CCS-to-NACS adapter. GM ships the adapter with new Escalades since the SUV still uses a CCS port.
The Process

After plugging in, she opened the Cadillac app, selected the charging stall, and activated the session. Charging began in under a minute.
Charging Speed

At 55% battery, the Escalade was pulling 185 kW from the charger. Within moments, it jumped to 58% — equal to about 263 miles of range.
Time to 100%

The Cadillac app showed it would take another hour and 10 minutes to reach a full charge, though most EV drivers rarely charge all the way to 100%.

In a follow-up, Dani revealed her charging session cost $267 — highlighting how expensive it can be to top up a massive EV like the Escalade at public fast chargers.
Why It Costs So Much

The Escalade IQ has one of the largest EV batteries on the market. Pair that with Supercharger rates that vary by location, and costs can quickly eclipse what most people expect.
The Takeaway

Yes, the Escalade can easily charge at Tesla Superchargers thanks to GM’s adapter. But convenience comes at a price — and for this luxury EV, it’s a big one.
