A total of 4,888 vehicles are included in the recall, made up of 3,478 Kona EVs and 1,402 Ioniq EVs.

Fault explained
The recall notice states that a software issue in the Battery Management System could cause an electrical short circuit.
This fault may occur while the vehicle is charging or even when parked, raising the risk of a fire.
