Aldi has issued an urgent recall for one of its festive food items after the product was found to contain egg that is not declared on the label, the Food Standards Agency (FSA) has announced.

Undeclared allergen

The recall affects Perfect Christmas Mozzarella Sticks in Blankets (278g), which have a use-by date of 15 December 2025.

The product costs £2.99.

The FSA warned: “If you have bought the above product and have an allergy or intolerance to egg do not eat it. Instead return it to your nearest Aldi store for a full refund.”

Refunds offered

Aldi has placed point-of-sale notices in stores and is urging customers to return the item unopened or part-used for a full refund. No receipt is required.
