Former U.S. President Joe Biden recently underwent a medical assessment following the discovery of a small nodule in his prostate, according to a spokesperson, CNN reported via News.ro and Digi24.
The nodule was identified during a routine physical exam, and further evaluation was deemed necessary, the spokesperson said.
No details were provided about when or where the examination and follow-up took place, nor was Biden’s current health condition disclosed.
A prostate nodule refers to an abnormal growth in the prostate gland.

While such nodules can be non-cancerous, they can also indicate conditions such as infections, inflammation, or, in some cases, prostate cancer. These issues are relatively common in older men, particularly those over the age of 50.
The New York Times was the first outlet to report the finding.
Questions surrounding Biden’s age and health have been a recurring issue throughout his presidency, and those concerns intensified after a lackluster debate performance against Donald Trump in June last year.
In February 2024, Biden underwent a physical at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, where Dr. Kevin O’Connor, the president’s physician, found “no new concerns” and stated that Biden remained fit for duty.
Now 82, Biden has maintained a relatively low public profile since leaving office but has recently returned to the spotlight. On Thursday, he appeared on ABC‘s The View, where he denied claims of cognitive decline during his final year in office.
