US-President Donald Trump has disclosed that he underwent an MRI scan during his recent visit to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center — the first time he has given a reason for his second medical exam this year.

According to several news outlets, including CNN, Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One on Monday, “I got an MRI. It was perfect.”

He added, “I gave you the full results. We had an MRI, and the machine, you know, the whole thing, and it was perfect.”

The president declined to explain why the MRI was performed, urging journalists to ask the doctors.

The White House has not clarified the purpose of the visit, which broke with the usual presidential routine of a single annual health exam.

Questions over transparency

Trump, 79, insisted that his medical team had already shared “a very conclusive” report with the media, but according to CNN, no detailed findings have been released publicly.

The lack of official documentation has fueled speculation, particularly after earlier disclosures about Trump’s circulatory health.

In July, the White House confirmed that Trump had been treated for swelling in his legs and diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency, a condition that affects blood flow in the veins.

The disorder occurs when vein valves fail to function properly, allowing blood to pool and cause discomfort.

Medical experts note that about 150,000 people in the U.S. are diagnosed with the condition each year, and that it becomes more common with age.

Symptoms can include swelling, aching, varicose veins, or changes in skin texture, and treatment ranges from medication to medical procedures in more advanced cases.

Health concerns rising

Trump has also drawn attention for visible bruising on his right hand, sometimes concealed with makeup during public events.

White House physician Dr. Sean Barbabella attributed the marks to “frequent handshaking” and the president’s use of aspirin, which can make bruising more noticeable.

Despite these explanations, the president’s latest admission of an MRI has reignited debate over the transparency of his health disclosures and the consistency of medical information released to the public.
