What is happening?
Elon Musk has taken to X to voice his displeasure with the Big Beautiful Bill – and most notably all the Politicians who voted for it.
“You know you did wrong!”
In the post, Musk said:
“I’m sorry, but I just can’t stand it anymore.
This massive, outrageous, pork-filled Congressional spending bill is a disgusting abomination.
Shame on those who voted for it: you know you did wrong. You know it.”
Fire them all
In another post on X, where Musk responds to a post by another user, Musk calls to action:
“In November next year, we fire all politicians who betrayed the American people,” he said.
Why is he upset?
Musks displeasure is triggered by the Big Beautiful Bill (BBB), which is a lawe basically containing all the promises, Donald Trump mad during his election campaign.
Some highlights
The bill is to big and complex to fully detail here, but here are some examples of what’s included:
- Continuation of tax cuts from 2017
- Higher deductions on federal on local tavxes
- Cutbacks on Medicaid and health care
- New savings plan for children called “Trump account”
Increasing deficit by $3.8 trillion
According to the Congressional Budget Office, the BBB would increase the national deficit by as much as $ 3.8 trillion by 2034.
Where’s the BBB right now?
The BBB has passed the House in Congress, now waiting to be processed in the Senate.
It is unknown when the final vote will take place.
