Many X users probably choked on their coffee this morning when they logged in and saw a tweet from Donald Trump Jr. Fortunately, it became clear about 30 minutes later that the account had been hacked.

Early on Wednesday morning, Donald Trump Jr.'s social media account on platform X was hacked, leading to a series of disturbing tweets.

One of the tweets falsely claimed the death of his father, former U.S. President Donald Trump.

The first tweet, posted at 8:25 a.m., read, "It's with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of my father, Donald Trump. I will be running for president in 2024."

This was followed by a string of clearly hacked messages, including one that provocatively stated,

"North Korea is about to get smoked."

Another tweet falsely claimed that Donald Trump Jr. had "engaging conversations with Jeffrey Epstein," who died over four years ago in a Manhattan prison.

To dispel the rumors of his death, the former President sent an unrelated tweet from his own social media platform, Truth Social, at 8:46 a.m. more than half an hour after the false announcement was made.
