Technology shapes the way we live, work, and connect. It drives economies, creates new industries, and raises difficult questions about privacy, jobs, and even democracy itself.

That is why meetings between political leaders and the heads of the world’s most powerful tech companies attract so much attention.

In Washington this week, such a gathering is set to take place.

High Profile Dinner

On Thursday, President Donald Trump will welcome about two dozen leading technology and business executives to the White House, reports Digi24.

The event will be held in the newly renovated Rose Garden and will include dinner.

Earlier in the day, First Lady Melania Trump is expected to host a separate event focused on artificial intelligence.

Silicon Valley Goes to Washington

The guest list is packed with some of the biggest names in Silicon Valley and beyond.

Mark Zuckerberg of Meta, Tim Cook of Apple, Bill Gates of Microsoft, and Sam Altman of OpenAI are all expected.

OpenAI president Greg Brockman will also attend, as will Sergey Brin, co-founder of Google.

Other figures include Shyam Sankar, chief technology officer at Palantir, and Alexandr Wang, founder of Scale AI and currently leading a superintelligence team at Meta.

Top executives from major corporations are also on the list. Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google, Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft, Safra Catz, CEO of Oracle, and David Limp, CEO of Micron Technology, will all join.

Investor and Trump advisor David Sacks, who focuses on crypto and AI, is also expected. Jared Isaacman, founder of Shift4, rounds out the group.

Tensions in the Tech Industry

The dinner reflects the complicated relationship between Trump and the technology industry.

While there have been tensions in the past, many companies are now seeking closer ties with the administration.

Several executives have recently announced projects that align with White House priorities, including investments in artificial intelligence and new infrastructure for digital development.

A Missing Name on the Guest List

One name missing from the list is Elon Musk. The Tesla and SpaceX CEO was once an advisor early in Trump’s second term but later distanced himself from the president.

His absence is seen as significant, given his influence over both the automotive and space industries.

The White House has not released details about the topics to be discussed.

However, the presence of so many influential figures suggests that technology policy, artificial intelligence, and future cooperation will all be on the table.
