Samsung has officially begun rolling out the Android 15-based One UI 7 update to its popular budget smartphones, the Galaxy A15 and A16.

The update is initially being rolled out in South Korea, but according to SamMobile, an international rollout is just around the corner.

Key Features

While the Galaxy A15 and A16 may not receive the full suite of Galaxy AI features reserved for flagship models, the One UI 7 update brings several notable improvements:

  • Visual Enhancements: Users will notice smoother animations, redesigned icons, and a more intuitive layout, providing a modernized user experience.
  • Performance Boosts: Optimizations under the hood aim to deliver faster app launches and improved system responsiveness.
  • Privacy Controls: Enhanced privacy settings give users more control over their data and app permissions.
  • Security Updates: The Galaxy A15 receives the update with the May 2025 security patch, while the A16 includes the latest security enhancements as well.

For Galaxy users in Europe, the update is expected to become available shortly.
