The war in Ukraine has entered another grim chapter as Russia unleashed one of its most extensive aerial attacks to date, striking multiple cities and killing at least two people in the southern port of Odesa.
According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, the barrage included 315 drones and seven missiles, among them two North Korean ballistic missiles. Of the drones, 250 were Shahed-type kamikaze UAVs. Ukrainian forces reportedly intercepted 213 of these, while another 64 were neutralized via electronic warfare.
A New Horrifying Record
Today’s attack was one of the largest on Kyiv, Odesa, and the regions of Dnipro and Chernihiv.
Zelensky condemned the assault and renewed calls for tougher sanctions against Moscow, warning that Russia’s continued strikes are undermining international efforts to push for peace. As reported by 20minutos, civilian infrastructure was severely impacted.

Significant Damage As Residential Areas Are Hit
The capital, Kyiv, also faced significant damage. Mayor Vitali Klitschko said at least four people were hospitalized after drones or missile fragments hit residential areas. Damage was also reported to a train station, private clinics, a zoo, and a sports center, according to Ukraine’s Prosecutor General.
“We are documenting yet another clear crime against civilians in the Odesa region,” said Oleg Kiper, governor of the region.
The Ukrainian air defense forces continue to play a critical role in minimizing the impact of such attacks, but with each new wave, the toll on civilians and infrastructure deepens. The Kremlin has not commented on the specifics of the assault.
