Russia launched a sweeping new wave of attacks on Ukraine over the past 24 hours, killing at least 15 civilians and injuring more than 20 others, Ukrainian officials reported Sunday via The Kyiv Independent.
According to Ukraine’s Air Force, 79 drones and two Iskander-M ballistic missiles were launched overnight, with 67 drones intercepted. The remaining drones struck targets in six different regions, causing extensive damage to homes, infrastructure and energy systems.

In Zaporozhye, over 750 separate attacks hit 18 settlements, leaving one dead and four injured, including a 91-year-old man, Governor Ivan Fedorov said. More than 11,000 households were left without electricity.
Donetsk suffered the worst human toll, with five civilians killed and two injured.
The strikes caused widespread blackouts, with the entire region plunged into darkness following attacks on energy infrastructure, Governor Vadym Filashkin said.

The Kherson region saw over 20 settlements shelled, leaving one person dead and two wounded, according to Governor Oleksandr Prokudin. Residential buildings and public infrastructure were damaged, including 12 houses and four apartment blocks.
In Dnipro, drone strikes killed four, including two children aged 11 and 14, and injured six others, Governor Vladislav Haivanenko confirmed.
In Kharkiv, a 54-year-old man was killed, while attacks in Sumy killed one and injured two, including a 29-year-old man hit by a drone while driving.
