Boeing has been active in Ukraine for several years.

The company provides engineering and technical support services and works with Ukrainian aircraft manufacturer Antonov. Boeing employs over 1,000 people in Ukraine.

No Injuries, Operations Continue

Despite the damage, Boeing’s operations in Ukraine have not been affected.

Andrii Koriagin, Deputy General Manager of Boeing Ukraine, confirmed that no disruption to company activities occurred.

A Boeing spokesperson also said no employees were injured.

Job listings posted in early June show that Boeing continues to recruit staff in Ukraine.

Russia Continues to Target Infrastructure

Ukraine’s Deputy Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha told Financial Times that the attack on Boeing, a U.S. company, shows how Russian strikes continue to target civilian and industrial infrastructure.

Other recent Russian attacks have hit the Antonov aircraft plant, power stations, and defense-related sites.

There is some uncertainty about the exact timing of the strike. Some sources report it happened on June 9, while others say June 10 based on missile launch data.

In a separate attack on June 14, 14 Russian Shahed drones struck the city of Zaporizhzhia. The drones hit a humanitarian aid warehouse, injuring two police officers, destroying 100 tonnes of relief supplies, and causing multiple fires. Civilian vehicles and apartment buildings were also damaged.
