Only three countries meet the new spending target.
What is happening?

NATO has released a new report with expected expenditure of the 32 member countries.
It is the first report since the alliance agreed on increasing the spending target from 2 % to 3.5 %.
Only three countries hit new target

Of the 32 countries, only three is expected to live up to the new goal, but for the first time since 2014, all members are expected to meet the old goal of 2 %.
Note about Iceland

Iceland does not have an army, but the country was still one of the 12 founding members of NATO.
