Peaches sold at Trader Joe’s and Kroger stores are being recalled due to potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes, the FDA announced.
The affected fruit was sold between Sept. 16 and Oct. 29, 2025.
What to look for
The recall includes several Moonlight Companies peach varieties and multi-packs, including Moonlight Yellow Peaches, White Peaches, and “Peppermint Peaches”, as well as Kroger Yellow Peaches.
The products can be identified by PLU codes 4401 or 4044, with facility code “P1” on the sticker.

Affected states
According to FDA, the states affected by this recall are Arizona, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, North Carolina, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Utah, Virginia, Vermont, and Washington, D.C.
So far, no illnesses have been reported.
However, Listeria infection can be dangerous, especially for those who are pregnant, elderly, immunocompromised, or very young. Symptoms may include fever, muscle aches, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.
Consumers are urged to check PLU stickers and packaging and dispose of affected peaches or return them to the store for a refund.
