Trump’s desperate golf excuse: Staffer was ‘hit violently in the chest’

With days until the election, Trump claims flying golf balls are of utmost importance after a judge halted his illegal golf course renovation.

With five days to go before the midterm election on Tuesday, November 3, Americans would think President Donald Trump was laser-focused on the upcoming battles his Republican candidates are in the middle of.

He has been out campaigning over the last three weeks, but he has mostly talked about himself. And on Truth Social, it seems like he is more occupied with trying to strong-arm a deal through so he can close down the East Potomac Golf Course and renovate it.

Yesterday, he had his ‘human printer,’ Natalie Harp, write another long Truth Social rant about the issue. Here, he gave an example of an incident that sounded too good to be true.

Trump claims the golf course is dangerous — cites firsthand evidence

The Truth Social rant about the golf course is long — even by Trump standards. However, there is an interesting and almost unbelievable part in the post.

In advocating the renovation of the course, Trump claims that one of his employees was badly injured when he visited the golf course.

‘East Potomac Golf Course is highly dangerous. […] The gaping holes in the driving range’s ‘protective’ netting are highly hazardous. Golf balls soar through the holes at high speed and hit unexpecting Golfers—including a White House staffer who was, sadly, hit violently in the chest,’ Trump wrote, claiming that it is a matter of national security that the course needs to be renovated in order to protect his staff from flying balls.

Trump doubles down

The press quickly caught wind of his Truth Social post and asked Trump about it on his way to another campaign rally.

Here, Trump doubled down when he was asked who was hit at the golf course. He answered: ‘Oh, many people. Yeah, many people, it’s very dangerous, it’s a very obsolete course. And we’re doing very well. We’ll have something great for the country.’

So far, it does not look like Trump will get his wish for a new course after the administration illegally cut down 430 trees in the park two weekends ago and the judge put a halt to the planned renovation. Trump has since attacked the female judge, calling her a ‘crazed lunatic.’
