Google is once again pushing the boundaries of smartphone photo editing.
The tech giant has announced a major update to its Google Photos app, introducing a redesigned, AI-powered editing tool that makes professional-looking photo adjustments easier than ever.
The update, as reported by Mobilsiden, allows users to simply draw a circle around a person or object in their photo.
Google Photos then automatically suggests possible edits, from enhancing focus and lighting to completely removing unwanted elements from the scene.

Building on features like Magic Editor, the new tool emphasizes simplicity and accessibility.
With just one tap, users can fine-tune sharpness, adjust brightness, refocus subjects, or even erase distractions, all without the need for advanced editing skills.
A particularly notable addition is the Auto Frame feature, which automatically crops or expands an image’s frame for better composition.
Users can also easily change the aspect ratio or rotate subjects with minimal effort.
To help users make confident edits, Google Photos now includes integrated before-and-after previews, allowing for quick comparisons as adjustments are made.
Optimized for Mobile Editing
The updated interface has been specially designed for mobile screens, ensuring that even complex edits can be performed with ease directly on a smartphone.
This reflects Google’s broader goal of turning Google Photos into a full-featured, pocket-sized photo studio.
“It feels like having a small photo studio in your pocket,” one beta tester told a U.S. tech publication.
Coming Soon to Android Phones
Google has confirmed that the updated editing features will roll out soon for all Android devices running version 8 or later.
This means a vast majority of Android users worldwide will soon have access to these advanced editing tools.
With over 10 billion downloads, Google Photos is already a dominant player in mobile photo storage and management.
This latest update further strengthens its position by removing many of the barriers that previously made high-quality photo editing the domain of professionals.
Once live, users may find there are fewer and fewer excuses for dull or poorly composed photos.
