What is going on?
Friday morning, Israel launched an attack aimed at Iran’s nuclear programme as well as the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.
Fallout of the attack
According to several news reports, Israel managed to destroy a number of sites at the heart of Iran’s nuclear programme as well as killing a number of nucler scientists as well as seven high ranking members og the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.
War during the weekend
Iran has vowed revenge for the attack, and during the weekend, Iran and Israel has attacked each other with dozens of lives lost on both sides.
Plot to kill the Ayatollah
Sunday, news broke that Israel actually had the opportunity to kill Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khameney.
Trump vetoed
But two unnamed US Officials told Reuters, that US President Donald Trump vetoed the plans, because Iran has not killed any Americans yet.
“Until they do we’re not even talking about going after the political leadership,” said one of the sources, a senior U.S. administration official
Netanyahu: “So many false reports”
In an interview with Fox New’s “Special Report With Bret Baier”, Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu said that “there’s so many false reports of conversations that never happened, and I’m not going to get into that” when asked about the reports.
“We do what we need to do”
However, he added that Israel will do what they need to do, before saying:
“I think the United States knows what is good for the United States.”
