Explosions reported in occupied Donetsk and Luhansk as Ukraine employs British-supplied Storm Shadow missiles against Russian military infrastructure.
Explosions were reported overnight from June 30 to July 1 in the Russian-occupied cities of Donetsk and Luhansk, following missile strikes allegedly carried out by Ukrainian forces.

In Donetsk, local Telegram channels said a metallurgical plant was hit. Russian state news outlet TASS reported that air defenses were activated, likely in response to incoming Storm Shadow missiles.
Storm Shadows are long-range missiles supplied to Ukraine by the UK.
In Luhansk, witnesses reported several fires breaking out after similar strikes.
Early information suggests that the missiles targeted military infrastructure. There are no confirmed reports yet of civilian casualties or damage.
Ukrainian Official: “Precise Work”
Andriy Kovalenko, head of Ukraine’s Anti-Disinformation Center, said the strikes in Donetsk were “precise work against the Russians,” adding that the situation in the area was “very intense.”
Photos and videos shared online show smoke rising from several locations in Donetsk.
Independent sources have not yet confirmed the full extent of the damage.
Meanwhile, Russian forces reportedly shelled ten settlements in the Donetsk region over the past 24 hours. According to local authorities, six people were killed and four others injured.
