Both sides have relied heavily on drones, transforming how modern warfare is fought on the battlefield.

Now, Ukraine is introducing a new device that could further expand its capabilities.

New drone revealed

A Ukrainian company has presented a new kamikaze drone called “Bucha,” according to reporting by Militarnyi, cited by The Independent.

The drone was showcased at the “Arsenal of Talents” exhibition held in early February.

Developed by Uforce, the system is still undergoing testing and has not yet been deployed in combat.

Key capabilities

The drone is designed with a range of up to 200 kilometers and carries a 5.5 kg warhead.

It can operate using multiple communication channels, including Starlink technology provided by SpaceX.

Its estimated cost is between $10,000 and $12,000, depending on the systems installed.

Swarm operations

One of the drone’s main features is its ability to operate in coordinated groups.

According to the developers, several units can be launched in sequence from a single platform.

The system uses a mesh network, allowing one drone to support communication for others within the group.

Single operator control

The company said the long-term goal is to allow multiple drones to be controlled by a single operator or a small team.

“The ultimate goal is for the system to be piloted by a single pilot or a group of operators,” the company explained.

This approach would enable more efficient deployment of multiple devices at once.

Already in use

While the full version is still being tested, a simplified model is already in production.

According to Militarnyi, this version has a smaller 3.5 kg warhead and a reduced range of 100 to 120 kilometers.

It is already being used on the battlefield.
