According to Andriushchenko, the railway was significantly damaged and could take weeks to repair.

The disruption was suggested to delay fuel deliveries to Russian front-line forces for at least two weeks.

Russian Recovery Efforts

Desperate to salvage what they could, Russian forces dispatched a locomotive to retrieve 15 to 20 remaining tankers, dragging them toward the city of Melitopol.
