Costco has issued a recall on frozen Kodiak branded Power Waffles in the "buttermilk & vanilla" flavor due to plastic contamination concerns.
The recall affects 40-count boxes sold in Costco warehouses in the Midwest between July 15 and August 25, 2024.
Affected Products
The recall applies to waffles with a UPC code of 705599019203, a use-by date of 01/10/26, and a lot code 24193-WL4.
The product is being pulled from shelves due to the "potential presence of soft plastic film" in the waffles, which poses a health risk if consumed.
No injuries or illnesses have been reported.
However, Costco advises anyone who has purchased the affected waffles to immediately dispose of them or return them to the store for a full refund.
If you have the recalled waffles in your freezer, don’t take any chances.
You can either throw them away or return them to your nearest Costco for a refund.
